This was the only CMHC EQuilibrium home to be constructed on the West Coast, and the first Net Zero energy building in British Columbia.
This project incorporates the following features:

  • Net Zero design emits zero greenhouse gases from heating, cooling hot water, & the use of electrical appliances
  • 100% low toxicity interior finishes & materials with recycled content
  • Foam insulation using non-ozone depleting expanding agents
  • Water conservation strategies & rainwater harvesting
  • Airtightness of 0.75 ACH @ 50Pa
  • Ovation Award, City of Burnaby, and FortisBC Award for Excellence in Energy Efficiency in New Construction: Single-Family Home

All the above features lower environmental impact, conserve resources & create a healthy indoor environment for the occupants.
